Alfred's POV

I have been lonely from the start.

From the moment I was "born" to the time a ship sailed into one of my harbors for the first time, I have been alone. There was no one to see, no one to talk to. The natives thought I was some sort of supernatural being, not to be looked directly in eye or touched. After all, my skin was light and my eyes a stunning blue, while their skin was dark and their eyes a soft brown. Not a single person accepted me.

This is Pinfeathers from Nevermore by Kelly Creagh. Read it. It's definitely worth the read (and the research is phenomenal...)

I've decided that he is my favorite character, despite the fact he's evil. I guess that just makes it better.
But now I'm worried I didn't make him creepy enough...I imagined him kind of hot, but really creepy in personality. Does that count?! I tried to give him an I-know-exactly-what-your-thinking look. Did I succeed?

Yes, his skin is falling apart as if he were porcelain. Don't ask me what he is, because I honestly don't remember, just some Edgar Allan Poe creation. XD

As I was drawing this, I realized he kind of looked like Lau from Kuroshitsuji XDD Just a thought...

Wow, I love this! I found that I grew to really like Pinfeathers too (more than Varen) hahaha. The book for super from start to finish! I haven't been happy with a book in quite some time.
